Street Photography

Started my street photography shooting again today and was glad that I managed to shoot some nice smiling faces.
Street photography is so difficult and we need to be alert and shoot the moment when it happen.

Via Flickr:
This shot was taken in Komtar Building Penang when an old couple walked towards me and just on time to cash the man smile.
So nice to a see a smiling face

Japanese drums Taiko

Drums at Bon Odori by andrewcharlie
Drums at Bon Odori, a photo by andrewcharlie on Flickr.
Japanese drums or Taiko performance during the recent Bon Odori festival in Penang.
This photo was taken during the sunset and getting the right light from the setting sun at the right side of the photos.
The sky was a bit hazy otherwise a blue evening sky could have make a more dramatic photo. The sot was taken when the drummer was about to hit the drum.

St. George's Church Penang celebrated Penang Heritage Day in conjunction with the month long Georgetown Festival on the 30th June 2013.
Started with a short 30 minutes walkathon participated by some 200 of the church members and guest in a very beautiful Sunday evening sky, it was such a blessing for everyone on this event.
Then came the various performances from the bands, choirs and groups who volunteered to perform for the night.
This is the first time this heritage day event was organised by St. George's and since Georgetown Festival is already a yearly event in Penang, we do hope that this even will even grow bigger in years to come.
